Eco driving
Eco driving is a way of driving that reduces fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions whilst helping to reduce accident rates. It’s not only better for the environment and safety, it can also lead to average fuel savings of 5-10% - that’s up to £220 a year in petrol or diesel! As fuel prices go on increasing, driving in a more eco-friendly manner could save you even more in future.
Some estimates suggest that if half of drivers practiced eco friendly driving, reducing carbon emissions annually by about 100 million tons, or the equivalent of heating and powering 8.5 million households!
The Energy Saving Trust offers an eco driving test, allowing you to find out how eco friendly your driving is, click here to find out more.
